Liposuction is a surgical procedure involving the removal of deposits of excess fatty tissue.  Great care is taken to insure that the end result is proportional to the body as a whole, while retaining the natural overall shape of the female/male form; in fact, the better term for this procedure would be liposculping.  

At Allure Medical Skin & Body Rejuvenation, we have been performing liposuction since our inception in 2006.  We feel strongly that, as with all cosmetic procedures, great care should be taken to both maximize the patient safety and insure the best possible aesthetic results.  

Good candidates for liposculpting should be at or near their ideal body weight; it is not a procedure for management of obesity.  Patients should be healthy, non-smokers, and any chronic medical issues must be well controlled (hypertension, for example).

At Allure Medical Skin & Body Rejuvenation, we only use Tumescent anesthesia for our liposculpting procedures.  This involves preparing the area to be treated by infusing a mixture of saline, lidocaine, epinephrine and bicarbonate.  This process insures maximal pain managemnet (both during and after the procedure), minimal chance of blood loss, and vastly lowers the risks traditionally associated with liposuction.  

Since you're awake throughout the procedure, you are an active participant in the sculpting process.  Fine tuning of the amount and location of the fat undergoing treatment is maximized as you position exactly as required at a given point of the procedure.  In fact, we'll even put you in front of mirror and ask you what you think before we conclude the procedure!
